The Department 22 Strategic Business Unit is seeking a highly motivated individual to join its Financial Planning team. This role is a great opportunity to experience a diverse and complex portfolio of development work critical to the future of the Intelligence Space segment.
Key responsibilities include financial planning and analysis process on a weekly, monthly, quarterly annual basis including Bookings and Sales analysis, SRO, forecast, AOP/LRP support, and ad hoc activities to support the business and team. The ideal candidate will regularly work with Finance team, leadership team, and other functional supports to strengthen financial results and influence successful business execution.
Required Skills
• Typically, 8 years in related Finance/Accounting roles
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy in reporting
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to work in a very fast paced environment and adapt quickly to a wide range of work assignments and time requirements
• Demonstrated ability to be proactive, creative, and innovative and use critical and strategic thinking
• Experience in partnership with program and functional ownership to strengthen meeting financial commitment
• U.S. Citizenship status is required, as this position will require the ability to access U.S. only data systems.
Desired Skills
• Ability to quickly learn and utilize program ownership systems and tools (SAP, BW/PRISM/APEX, RPlan or similar resources)
• Familiar with financial modeling methods and resources
• Working knowledge of Power Bi
• Strong organizational skills in coordinating program personnel toward common finance goals by setting priorities and working within deadlines
• Experience managing multiple priorities and influence in a matrix organization
• Self-motivated to meet critical deadlines and develop applied solutions and process improvements to a variety of complex problems
Typically requires:
A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience
Advanced to expert knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
May have broad knowledge of project ownership.
