ZS' Business Consulting group partners with clients to design and deliver solutions to help them tackle a broad range of business challenges. PRINCIPAL/REAL-WORLD DATA & INSGHTS (RWD&I)
The RWD&I Principal should serve as the internal and external expert on real world data, analytics and insights across the clinical-commercial continuum with primary focus on pharmaceuticals and secondary focus on payers & providers. The lead will focus on issue area of value articulation backed by RWE and RWD analysis and serve as a liaison and primary point of contact for cross functional partners for aligned set of clients. The lead will serve as a subject matter expert & provide leadership guidance to evaluate, prioritize, develop, manage, implement, and test RWE, RWD, and GHEOR initiatives. This leader will participate in the development and execution of strategic and tactical business plans with key stakeholders across the business in support of ZS' RWE/RWD & GHEOR Solutions. This leader will also work with key leaders in RDE and Value & Access to develop strategies towards designing and implementing of ZS' capability around value-based contracting.
The role will work within existing RWD&I iTeam collaborating extensively with Value & Access practice (especially GHEOR) and in future with Health Plan & Provider vertical. As the innovation team evolves to scaled practice, the role will take significant part of business development in addition to the expertise role.
Responsibilities:

  • Deepen ZS access and engagement with GHEOR, Value and RWD leadership levels across select clients
  • Develop business opportunities through these clients' engagement & convert them into projects
  • Help RWD lead to form and anchor 'Advisory Board' for ZS focused on issues are of value articulation, regulatory 'boundaries' driving adoption & expansion of use cases and evolution of ZS' strategy around RWD
  • Help develop industry specific strategy for RWD usage and GHEOR & RWE studies
  • Execute on Pharmaceutical specific strategy in collaboration with existing RWD&I and GHEOR leads
  • Expand Pharma RWD&I & GHEOR capabilities, especially RWE studies capabilities by exploring partnerships
  • Initiate and anchor ZS' connect with regulatory authorities especially FDA and EMA
  • Represent ZS in specific industry working groups
  • Partner with Pharma/MPS/Healthcare client leaders to drive business development and client relationships
  • Consistently deliver quality client services and drive high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget
  • Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes
  • Effectively lead and motivate teams with diverse skills and backgrounds
  • Play an active role in counseling and mentoring junior team members within ZS
  • Demonstrate ability to quickly assimilate new knowledge
  • Possess in depth business acumen
  • Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business
  • Remain current on new developments in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge.


Qualifications:

  • Subject matter expertise with pharma / life sciences, MedTech, payer &/or provider space with focus on medical affairs, regulatory affairs & FDA/EMA requirements. Subject matter expertise and vision for the translation of real-world data into RWE and GHEOR analytics and insights• 6 - 10 years of combined Executive Advisory and Consulting experience in Real-World Data Strategy and / or a senior Analytics, or Data Strategy role in a Pharma, Med Tech, Payer or Data Provider company
  • A Masters in Operations Research OR Biological Sciences OR Business Administration OR Economics. Clinical background in provider setting.
  • Provide expertise on current GHEOR and RWE industry best practices. Consult on cross-functional projects to ensure a Best Practice approach. Identify new areas of RWE opportunity beyond current organizational thinking
  • Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives. Strong partner mentality and ability to work cross functionally in a matrixed, global organization
  • Analysis and problem-solving skills to address core business problems; Ability to effectively evaluate a problem or situation from all angles to determine the most appropriate solution
  • Industry affiliations to ISPOR and OHDSI highly preferred
  • Past relationships with FDA, EMA and other markets regulatory bodies will be highly beneficial
  • Demonstrated experience driving revenue within existing clients
  • Characteristics of a forward thinker and self-starter that thrives on new challenges and adapts quickly to learning new knowledge
  • Ability to lead a virtual team of consulting professionals across multiple projects; experience working with teams in India a plus
  • A high level of motivation and self-starting attitude
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • A strong work ethic
  • A willingness to travel to meet client needs


ZS is a global consulting firm. Fluency in English is required; additional fluency in at least one European or Asian language is desirable.
