Overview

The Principal Solution Analyst HCM applies system solutions to business requirements through the design, configuration, and deployment of ECC and integrated applications. This position requires a thorough understanding of business processes and the ability to design, configure, and deploy solutions to support them. The Principal Solution Analyst interacts with multiple Functional Business Teams, vendors, and IT members supporting SAP ECC as well as other systems integrated with SAP ECC. As part of their role, The Principal Solution Analyst is also responsible for preparing functional specifications, designing, configuring, and supporting various SAP ECC HCM core modules. This position is also responsible for assisting subject matter experts with gap analysis, process definition, systems enhancements and is expected to provide a high level of service for break-fix incidents and requests.

The role requires an individual with proven business acumen and enterprise technology experience with SAP ECC HCM. Experience in configuring the SAP ECC HCM system to deliver business functionality is required. In addition, experience with SuccessFactors is also required.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain a working knowledge of SAP ECC HCM and SF Modules and serve as a thought leader to the SGWS organization
  • Improve efficiency of team to resolve problems
  • Identify, recommend, and implement process improvement opportunities for SAP ECC HCM and SF Modules
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and development of Senior Solution Analysts
  • Serve as liaison between Divisions/Functions and IT on projects and enhancements
  • Collect and evaluate information, formulate as well as test hypothesis.
  • Coordinate issues resolution activities with varied stakeholders
  • Ensure to follow up on problems and process independently
  • Develop meeting structure and present at meetings
  • Prepare functional specifications, user-guides, and assist with business requirements documentation
  • Determine opportunities to redesign or automate business processes and functions to achieve business results
  • Drive the development of business and technical process documentation and training materials
  • Assist the Quality Assurance Team with testing, strategy, and planning
  • Communicate systems and procedural changes to end users through excellent written and oral communications
  • Provide end-user training / increase end user proficiency and adoption of implemented solutions
  • Understand, communicate, and reinforce standard business process concepts and methodology
  • Establish and maintain relationships with team members within IT and across functional teams
  • Assess situations, determine the problem(s) and propose a solution that provides value to the business
  • Lead business requirements as well-formed user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Structure requirements to facilitate automation of acceptance tests



Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree (computer science, information systems, software engineering)

  • Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business Analysis, Data Management, BI)
  • 8+ years in SAP application solutioning and deployment
