The Principal Snowflake Data Engineer will be responsible for architecting large-scale data intelligence solutions, performing architectural assessments, crafting architectural options and analysis around Snowflake Data Warehouse.

  • Finalize preferred solution alternative working with IT and Business stakeholders to build data ingestion pipeline using tools like Talend, Informatica, etc.
  • Need to have professional knowledge of Azure, AWS.
  • Developing ETL pipelines in and out of data warehouse using combination of Python and Snowflakes SnowSQL Writing SQL queries against Snowflake.
  • Understanding data transformation and translation requirements and which tools to leverage to get the job done.
  • Understanding data pipelines and modern ways of automating data pipeline using cloud-based tools.
  • Hands on experience with building productionized data ingestion and processing pipelines using Java, Spark, Scala, Python.
  • Expertise and excellent understanding of Snowflake Internals and integration of Snowflake with other data processing and reporting technologies Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to problem solve and architect in an environment with unclear requirements.



Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities such as SnowSQL, SnowPipe, Snowpark, Python, Tasks, Streams, Time travel, Optimizer, Metadata Manager, data sharing, and stored procedures.
  • Snowflake SQL Writing SQL queries against Snowflake Developing scripts Java, Python, Scala, etc. to do Extract, Load, and Transform data
  • In-depth understanding of Data Warehouse/ODS, ETL concept and modeling structure principles
  • Experience in Data warehousing - OLTP, OLAP, Dimensions, Facts, and Data modeling.
  • Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements
  • 5+ years of hands on experience designing and implementing production grade data warehousing solutions on large scale data technologies such as Teradata, Oracle or DB2.
  • Good working knowledge of any ETL tool (Informatica, Talend, Data Stage or SSIS)
  • Good to have familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI), ability to effectively function in a cross-team's environment
  • Ability to effectively function in a cross-team's environment
  • Good to have exposure to AWS / Azure Data ecosystem
  • Experience in the financial services or banking is a nice to have
