Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide ongoing operational support for Oracle Databases in all application specific environments
• Provide data migrations (RMAN restore/refresh and datapump exp/imp)
• Assist in manual and automated application code deployments (DDLs and DMLs)
• Conduct performance tuning to maintain system stability (using Oracle RDBMS tools)
• Troubleshooting to capture incident data and analyze for root cause issues
• Participate in binaries installation, DB creation, configuration, upgrades and DB patching and OS patching activities
• Serve as a good team player by working with colleagues and clients to identify and address overall system problems as needed
• Participate 24x7 on-call rotation with other colleagues on a weekly rotation basis
• Influence management to adopt new ideas, products, and/or approaches as appropriate

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of Oracle Operational DBA experience in the IT industry
• 5+ years supporting/maintaining databases systems in the Unix environment
• 5+ years of experience with RAC technologies 19c and 12c (CRS/ASM/RAC Services)
• 1+ years of years of SQL Server, MySQL
• Experience with Data migrations (RMAN restore, EXPDP/IMPDP)
• Experience with Database RMAN backup/recovery skills (TSM/TDPO/DDomain)
• Experience in Database monitoring, Performance tuning, Health Checks, Stats collection, Query Optimizing, Indexes
• Working knowledge of Oracle Dataguard
• Ability to support J2EE portal-based applications
• Willingness and ability to provide 24x7 on-call support

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA or advanced degree
• Experience in or with Job scheduling, Capacity management (space utilization, archive/purge data) User Security/Administration, TDE, Wallet, Audit Vault and VMWare
• Exposure to monitoring and creating alerts in OEM
