You are a driven, innovative professional who uses strategic thinking to provide analytical insights and collaborate with senior management in support of the company's business and corporate development initiatives. You will be the engine driving key analyses to support corporate development decision making, including evaluating mergers and acquisitions, new investment opportunities, portfolio valuations, joint ventures, and organic growth opportunities. The successful candidate will have substantial experience with in-depth financial modeling and diligence processes, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Are you up to the challenge?

  • Assess potential mergers, acquisitions, investments and joint ventures as well as divestitures by the company
  • Analyze data provided by management teams during diligence and present such information, both internally and externally for discussion
  • Build dynamic, flexible, detailed and accurate financial models which portray company operations and transaction details
  • Perform market research to understand key risks, opportunities and trends impacting an investment target or business opportunity
  • Collaborate with Corporate Development team to consider opportunities in a progressive, systematic and routine fashion
  • Support key organic initiatives by reviewing and assessing deals as well as building discrete strategic analysis to support decision making
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on core strategic issues and generate action-oriented insights and recommendations
  • Value Intelsat's existing investment portfolio, analyze cap tables, and evaluate follow-on investment or liquidation opportunities
  • Stay on top of industry trends, researching and developing theses to guide corporate strategy


Can you drive these processes?

  • Execution of acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures, partnerships and other corporate development initiatives
  • Build systematic methods for researching and analyzing potential corporate development opportunities and industry trends
  • Financial and valuation modeling, data analysis, competitive and industry vertical research, and additional thoughtful analytical support of key strategy and investment ideas


You should definitely have:

  • This role is subject to EAR/ITAR and candidates must be US Persons (US Citizens, Permanent Residents, Asylees, Refugees)
  • Bachelor's Degree and a total of 3-6 years' experience in a financial analysis role
  • Minimum of 3 years financial, transaction and strategy experience in M&A at an investment bank, private equity firm, consulting firm and/or large global corporation
  • Experience executing transactions including direct experience in diligence processes
  • Experience working in a demanding environment with highly motivated and driven professionals
  • Ability to handle projects with multiple workstreams, with proven leadership success over a wide variety of functional business problems
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and
    analytical rigor
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling skills
  • Excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities; ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior managers and external business partners


It would be nice if you had:

  • Familiarity with space-based communications networks
  • Experience executing all aspects of M&A deals
  • Knowledge of the telecommunications value chain, including business models, technology and key players
  • Experience with data tools (Tableu, Qlik etc...)
