Job Description
- Working across the organization to build and maintain a data strategy that outlines a target architecture and roadmap to maximize the value of information assets via their creation, access and use.
- Working with the BI team to ensure that system designs comply with target state architecture and help in the selection of product/solutions to deliver business outcomes.
- Define, implement, and promote BI architectural guidelines/standards, best practices, governing mechanisms, key processes, controls and supporting tools.
- Serve as steward, advisor, and thought leader on all matters related to data and BI in general
- Provide expert guidance on BI skills and technologies
- Maintain accurate and complete technical architectural documents.
- Support BI tools upgrades, maintenance, documentation and troubleshooting activities for BI tools
- Recommend strategies to improve performance and capacity of BI tools.
- Innovation champion - Advocate for process enhancements and opportunities to improve data & analytics capabilities at Dynatrace
- Leading, as required, and motivating team members by mentoring and coaching.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in technology, with at least 7 years in information system design and architecture
- Must have lead small to mid-sized teams
- In-depth experience in designing and implementing data solutions using cloud native DW technologies
- Hands-on experience with implementing data and analytics management programs and data governance practices.
- Knowledge of, and experience in, implementing data security, data privacy and data retention policies.
- Understanding of common information architecture frameworks and information models.
- Exposure and experience with AI/ML.
- Experience with data streaming technologies preferred
- Business acumen and the ability to communicate to executives, business domain stakeholders and technical staff alike.
- Must have the ability to resolve issues, mitigate roadblocks, and align teams consistently and collaboratively.
- Experience working with AWS, Snowflake, and modern data technologies (across ingestion, transformation, and extraction/consumption) is desired
- Experience with working in a product development setting would be considered an asset
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
