This is a new position reporting to Head of Platforms in Content Technology

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and lead a team of technical specialists focused in content technology, including offshore.
  • Conduct analysis and develops specifications for quick prototyping of Real World Data (RWD) solutions
  • Implementing technical solutions for advanced analytical models on RWD
  • Collaborate with Product, Business, and Technology teams to develop RWD solutions
  • Oversee and/or actively contribute to analysis/validation/development projects utilizing industry-standard analytic tools
  • Create and maintain infrastructure for coding library and maintains query-capable tools
  • Identify, assess, and integrate/implement new technology and analytic tools
  • Develop new data standards for RWD Function and ensure adequate data standards, data cleaning, quality control, and preparation of datasets
  • Liaise with IT (or other groups as specified by data governance) to integrate, refresh, QC and maintain secondary data sources for analysis



Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Master's degree (e.g. MA, MSc, MPH) in Engineering or related discipline, with a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant, post-graduation experience.
  • Expertise with RWD and experience in design, development, execution and communication of solutions
  • Implementing technical solutions for advanced analytical models on RWD
  • Strong hands-on experience working with native Big Data technologies EMR, Spark, Hadoop/Hive.
  • Experience with RWD Product development life-cycle
  • Experience in observational research study design, execution and communication.
  • Strong track record of analysis of a broad range of RWD, especially electronic medical record and claims databases.



Additional:

  • Formal training in Programming and demonstrated proficiency in statistical analysis programs commonly used in life sciences (e.g. SAS, R, Python).
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, teamwork, and initiative, with flexibility to adapt to the needs of the organization; maintain meticulous attention to project deadlines.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of US secondary data sources required; additional experience with international data sources is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in qualitative analysis and data sets (e.g., free-text natural language processing, survey data).
