Spotify is seeking an analyst to join our dynamic Advertising Business Operations & Strategy team. As a Podcast Monetization Business Analyst, you will support our Global Podcast Advertising organization by partnering with leaders across Sales, Campaign Management, Ad Operations, Product, and Content to deliver and action on key insights that drive growth for our Podcast business.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the monetization and yield of Spotify’s premium slate of podcast shows.
  • Define and monitor KPIs for advertising monetization on podcasts.
  • Manage and report on the advertising inventory for our podcasts and drive the pricing and packaging of remaining supply.
  • Make data driven recommendations for account / campaign prioritization on our shows’ inventory.
  • Monitor campaign delivery on key podcast shows and liaise with Content and Product to triage issues.
  • Conduct regular reviews on the monetization health of our premium podcast shows and provide recommendations on levers to increase yield.
  • Support ad hoc leadership decisioning by providing thoughtful insights driven by data and analytics.
  • Assist annual joint business planning efforts by building forecasts for various pricing & packaging scenarios for podcast shows and modeling the impact to our business.
  • Partner with Content teams to assess the advertising value of potential new show acquisitions and / or newly acquired shows.
  • Conduct business reviews with each of Spotify’s studios (The Ringer, Gimlet, Parcast, Spotify Studios) to identify editorial opportunities to drive more revenue.
  • Identify and support project rollouts for new tools and process changes to increase the efficiency of our Podcast Advertising organization and drive more accurate and automated reporting.

Who You Are

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree or higher from a leading College or University.
  • You have 6+ years of Digital Media experience in an analytical role.
  • You have strong knowledge of Salesforce CRM and data visualization platforms (Tableau CRM, Tableau).
  • You have experience in campaign delivery platforms such as Google Ad Manager.
  • You have advanced technical skills across Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, SAQL is a plus.
  • You are a creative problem solver who thrives in a fast paced environment.
  • You are well organized and can juggle working on multiple different projects at once.
  • You have excellent collaboration skills working with multiple departments and individuals to reach common solutions that serve revenue growth. 
  • You are inquisitive and challenge the effectiveness of current processes and procedures.
  • You have strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to determine trends and propose solutions.

  • Our offices are currently closed due to COVID-19.
  • Post COVID, while we will ask you to pop into the office from time to time, we are giving you the flexibility to work from home should you choose to do so.
  • Position will be based in New York, NY.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
