Primary Responsibilities:

  • PG Performance Monitoring
    • Provide consistent, pro-active monitoring of performance guarantees throughout the year
    • Verify that each reporter has accurately calculated PG results by checking outliers and performing quality checks on data
    • Ensure timely entry of PG results including outreach to delinquent reporters as necessary to ensure all assigned reporters enter PG reports
    • Function as a subject matter expert, providing support of the PG application, and answering questions from internal stakeholders
  • PG results calculation
    • Write/run/request accurate queries to generate assigned PG results
    • Calculate and enter timely all assigned PG results
    • Maintain queries, overseeing/performing updates reflecting operational changes as they occur
  • PG Client Reporting
    • Once reporters enter all PG results for any given client completely, perform quality checks on all PGs and generate complete and accurate client PG reports and send to Account Managers
    • Ensure all failed PG results are accurate by checking raw data, recomputing each result, and validating that no terms and conditions (such as minimum numbers, exclusions and inclusions both in the preamble language and the PG itself) invalidate the PG
  • Ad Hoc Reporting/PG evaluation
    • Pull ad/hoc PG data as requested
    • Assist in tracking/trending of PG performance
    • Serve as the backup to the EAP PG loading and Reporting SME
  • PG System Training
    • Train new reporters as necessary on the PG recording software
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date PG training materials
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in hands-on data analysis of healthcare or administrative data
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookup)
  • Proven attention to detail and excellent organizational skills/ability to manage multiple products simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to timelines and deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work well within a team that has many remote team members


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated awareness of when to appropriately escalate issues/risks
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency with MS Word and MS PowerPoint
  • Ability to demonstrate and apply understanding of UnitedHealth Group's business (e.g., specific business capabilities, functions, processes, and business cycles)
  • Ability to demonstrate and apply understanding of applicable regulations (e.g., HIPAA, SOX) and UHG policies/standards (e.g., RSA, security)
  • Maintain awareness of best practices/approaches related to quality and productivity (e.g., process improvement, DMAIC, Lean)

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
