The Red Hat People (HR) Analytics team is looking for an experienced Survey Data Analyst to join us. In this role, you will create and deliver key employee life cycle insights and visualizations. You will work with the Engagement and Well-being team and develop reports, dashboards, and presentations with actionable insights using survey data and listening sentiment. Our teams enable data-driven decisions and use data to create meaningful experiences for associates. You'll develop a deep understanding of Red Hat's talent strategies, organizational culture, employee listening strategy and talent trends to tackle complex business challenges and deliver actionable insights and guidance to key stakeholders and decision makers. As a People Data Analyst, you should be both visionary and practical with an optimistic approach but realistic vision. You should be able to think big and get stuff done. You should have a passion for data and should look for stories to enhance the data, you should be open to new ideas and new ways of doing things. What you will do
- Deliver meaningful metrics, trends, key insights, and analysis using a variety of data sources and technologies, e.g., Glint, Workday, or Tableau
- Use data to tell stories by creating visually appealing reports, Tableau dashboards, and presentations for our internal customers
- Continually find innovative ways of displaying information to tell the story in a clear, concise manner that will be easily understood by our stakeholders
- Consult with stakeholders and collaborate with People Analytics team to identify data needs and develop actionable insights aimed at answering key business questions
- Advise on the interpretation of data, provide insights and recommendations, and help identify future investment opportunities
- Assist with operational reporting and analysis, including resolving ad hoc reporting and survey data analytics requests
- Contribute to cross-functional analytics projects; build relationships with partner teams, frame and structure questions, collect and analyze survey data, and summarize and present key insights in support of decision making
- Support the Engagement and Well-being team with analysis and presentation of annual and ad-hoc survey data and insights representing associate experience throughout the employee life cycle
- Follow data confidentiality and data sharing frameworks and best practices
- Provide training and assistance to users as needed
What you will bring
- Experience with HR analytics developing key success measurements
- Innovative data visualization and storytelling skills including experience building dashboards and insights in Tableau
- Experience developing and presenting reports and dashboards using multiple data sources
- Excellent analytical and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with business and technical associates
- Solid consulting, presentation, technical, and analytical skills with the ability to enable others to tell a compelling story using data
- Ability to take complex datasets and create key takeaways and recommendations using several data sources
- Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality while analyzing sensitive information
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well with others and maintain ongoing coordination, communication, and team problem solving
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
The following are considered a plus:
- Advanced knowledge of Glint
- Experience working with survey data and employee sentiment analysis
- Experience working with Workday reporting
- Experience with SQL, R, or Python
- Master's degree in industrial or organizational psychology, sociology, economics, mathematics, statistics, or another relevant field
