About the Role:

Quora is at the beginning of one of the most exciting chapters in our company’s history. We have transitioned to a remote-first culture, with employees working from across the globe, collaborating on our mission to share and grow the world’s knowledge. We’re looking for a highly motivated People Analyst to help us establish our People Analytics function and advance our ability to make data-driven decisions that will impact our global employee base. This Analyst will have a consistent and direct impact on the development of strategy across the People organization.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze large data sets from various systems to collect insights and distill those into recommendations that help inform and drive key business decisions
• Design, develop, and maintain data dashboards to inform key People related metrics
• Partner closely with FP&A and Recruiting for data integration and knowledge sharing
• Present data and recommendations to leadership to inform critical employee strategy decisions

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to be available for meetings and impromptu communication during Quora's "coordination hours" (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time). Learn why here
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Statistics, Computer Science, and Data Science/Analytics) or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of experience working in the People space
• 3+ years of experience in a business intelligence, business analyst, or similar highly analytical role that includes strong familiarity with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.
• Experience collaborating on projects involving multiple teams, managing relationships with clients, and presenting to audiences
• Proven track record of building from 0 to 1. Self-starter that can autonomously drive their work forward in a global company and is comfortable dealing with ambiguity
• Possess a high degree of confidentiality and discretion

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with building front-end reporting with BI tools (such as Data Studio, Tableau, Sisense, Looker, QlikView, etc.)
• Passionate for creating data visualizations and storytelling through with that data
• HRIS familiarity and experience
• Python/R/SQL/Scripting experience
