Job Description:

The Role

The Defined Benefit Implementation team is seeking a Senior Pension Benefit Analyst (PBA) to join their growing team!

PBAs are responsible for the end-to-end enablement of web, operational procedures, participant communications, reports, interfaces, and the ongoing maintenance of established clients on the Fidelity Workplace Investing Defined Benefit service model. This includes analysis, requirements, configuration, design, unit testing, transition, and rollout with a focus on overall product and client expertise.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree and at least seven years of Defined Benefit operations and/or implementation related experience in the HR outsourcing industry preferred
  • Five plus years proven ability advising clients on Defined Benefit product and service design including large sophisticated plans
  • Advanced industry certification (e.g. CEBS, PMP) or MBA a plus
  • Analytical, consultative, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Defined Benefit industry trends and the ability to apply this knowledge to client work
  • Knowledge of relationship management, benefits administration, business processes, and HR record-keeping
  • Knowledge of Fidelity's Defined Benefit end-to-end product and service offerings
  • Knowledge of Fidelity's Defined Benefit system technology including standard methodologies and limitations
  • Business and technical analytical skills
  • Influencing and negotiating
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external teams and interface effectively within and across organizations
  • End to end operational process understanding, standard methodology application and implementation
  • Solid grasp of MS Office suite of products
  • Knowledge of database structures and query languages
  • Knowledge of JIRA and Agile methodologies

The Team

The PBA team is part of the Fidelity Investments Workplace Investing - Defined Benefit Client Services organization. We directly support new business implementations in addition to change order projects for our current client base. As a project team member, the PBA is responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of system configuration, custom processes, and non-standard service offerings.
