The annual salary for this position is between $[90k - 115k] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.

We are looking for Oracle Database Administrator in for an immediate need. This is a client-facing role & the candidate will have regular interactions with various client managers.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- In depth knowledge of the Oracle database architecture (Single Instance, RAC and ASM), related utilities and tools on Oracle 12c, 18c, and 19c.
- Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle.
- Create and manage multiple databases and assist in capacity planning.
- In depth knowledge in performance tuning and recommendations implementation with the help of advance oracle features and performance tuning tools like AWR, SQL Tuning Advisors, Access Advisors, Stats pack, SQLT, SQL Monitoring, SQL Plan Management.
- Use tools for database tuning (OEM12/13C). Identify performance issues, deadlocks/contention and resolve them.
- Extensive knowledge on Replication tools like Shareplex, Golden Gate, and HVR etc.
- Database CI/CD implementation using tools like DBMaestro, Liquibase etc. is desired.
- Knowledge in CI/CD integration using Jenkins/Udeploy/Nexus would be a Plus.
- Knowledge on logical database modeling and usage of ER-win tool would be an added advantage.
- Adhere to security standards or best practices to avoid security breaches and reduce system vulnerability.
- Understanding and prior knowledge in writing coding including Shell scripting, PL/SQL etc. and having knowledge on automation tools like Ansible would be helpful.
- Perform analysis, Implementation, Maintenance and Monitoring support activities for database requirements.
- Assist developers in writing efficient PL/SQL code, review code from performance perspective.
- L2/L3 level knowledge for Postgres DB administration is desired.
- AWS Public cloud certification is desired.
