Primary Responsibilities:

• Designing, installing, and configuring databases on public cloud (OCI and AWS)
• General maintenance: hardware, upgrades, backups, troubleshooting, recovery
• Migration, security, performance tuning and monitoring of databases
• Developer assistance
• Fault Tolerance and Disaster Recovery
• Multi region sync

Required Qualifications:

• 7 + years as an enterprise production DBA supporting mission critical database systems
• Knowledge of query language and the proficient in SQL
• Demonstrated experience with large data sets, ETL process and data integration strategies
• Understanding of database security principles, structure, approaches and implements roles appropriately
• Working knowledge of OCI /AWS cloud, or other cloud environments
• Works independently with product and application teams, understands application requirements and provides direction to the application team in support of those requirements, contributes to team efforts regularly

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems/Computer Information Systems, or closely related field
• NoSQL db knowledge
• Solid knowledge and hands-on experiences of cloud based RDBMS (Oracle/PostgreSql,etc.). Fully understanding the Database internal architecture, system configurations and backup and recovery strategies
• Proficient in communication with customers, peers and management
• Ability to commute to office location either in NJ, MD or MN
