WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for an Operations Analyst for the Global Procurement Enablement & Operations Team.

This role provides a crucial role in the purchasing function of the Buying Hub. This person will be a key contact for internal and external business collaborators and will be responsible for the end-to-end management from contract to payment.

The candidate needs to be someone eager to learn, easily adaptable to rapid change, have strong troubleshooting skills, and optimal customer-facing skills. This person will be considered an expert in the purchasing field and will be one of the main points of contact for the purchasing team. We're looking to have this role serve as a back-up for the Global Purchasing Manager when needed.
What you will work on
You will serve as point of contact for Nike Technology business collaborators and vendors on purchasing matters. You will work with Nike Finance/Accounting to ensure adherence to broader finance and risk requirements such as expense recognition, pricing/discounting policies, signature authorizations, export controls, etc. You will educate business collaborators on the required processes on how to request a PO. We will have the individual in this role proactively identify process opportunity areas throughout the normal course of business and suggest and implement improvements.

A typical day includes the creation and management of all Purchase Orders from the Buying Hub. Responsible for contract review, and ensuring that the structure of the Purchase Order is in alignment with all Nike and legal guidelines. After the Purchase Order creation, this role will be responsible for ensuring that confirmations of payment and all invoices are properly managed until the supplier is paid in full. This role is responsible for managing all questions and issues via email from Nike Stakeholders, Nike Suppliers, Finance, Legal, Accounting and more. You'll be working in multiple tools including ServiceNow, Coupa, Aravo, Sharepoint, and more.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
This is the Nike matrix: This role will be reporting directly to the Manager of Global Purchasing under the Global Procurement Enablement & Operations Team. The team consists of additional Procurement Analysts, from a managed service provider. Those team members are working remotely from India. This role serves many teams across the business including Finance, Accounting, Sourcing, Legal, and many business representatives across Nike Technology. Outside of Nike, this role will be working directly with Nike preferred vendors and often, the Accounts Payable Teams from those suppliers as well.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor/Master degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to communicate complex topics to a diverse audience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work cross functionally and develop positive working relationships
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Approachable and easy to work with
  • Understanding of general contract structure
