Bind is actively seeking a highly skilled, motivated and experienced Operational Reporting and Analysis Expert to build and support operational business intelligence, performance reporting, and production analysis. The Operational Reporting and Analysis Expert will act as a critical source of knowledge in Bind operational data, and own and deliver key analytical assets. Reports and Analytics are to be developed using primarily cloud stored data and deployed cross-functionally to Bind teams (Excel, SQL, BI Tools). Bind seeks a seasoned, strategically minded expert who can work with stakeholders across organizational levels to develop the right approaches to answering key business questions. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise for development of operational analysis and reporting roadmap
  • Lead and develop business and functional level performance metrics and reporting across all operational teams and sources
  • Leads identification, development and delivery of operational reporting and analytics on operational processes, including automated reporting
  • Develop and deliver approaches to operational insight generation and business intelligence using Bind platforms and tools, including use of predictive analytics
  • Advise business stakeholders across operational functions on existing data structure and availability of reporting and analysis, recommending scalable reporting and analysis approaches and data-backed solutions
  • Act in consultant capacity to operational leadership and stakeholders on data needs. Provide guidance to internal teams regarding operational data architecture and best practices for operational data usage
  • Develop and lead initiatives to enhance operational data integrity and accessibility
  • Mentor and develop skills of colleagues on use of operational data and related tools, as well as Bind culture and values (where appropriate).
  • Develop and mature data monitoring and dashboard capabilities to enable real-time access to critical operational metrics with scalable, automated solutions
  • Build and develop relationships with business stakeholders to enhance collaboration and problem solving in alignment with Bind culture and values
  • Document operational reporting and analytics pipeline using documentation software such as Word/Excel or specialized tools like JIRA
  • Collect, parse, manage, analyze and visualize large sets of data using multiple platforms
  • Develop analytics using self-service tools (Looker, Tableau, SQL)

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • 5+ years of experience, preferably in insurance industry
  • Demonstrated detailed experience with healthcare analytics from at least one of these data sectors (Claims, Provider, Service)
  • Solid experience with SQL
  • Ability to translate business requirements into deployed analyses
  • Demonstrated expertise troubleshooting complex data questions
  • Knowledge of the healthcare and health insurance sectors with HIPAA requirements
  • Exposure to formal software development methodologies such as Agile Methodologies (XP, Scrum), etc.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with JIRA for an SDLC tool
  • Experience with Cloud/AWS environments
  • Ability to work well with other teams to resolve issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $87,900 to $156,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
