Job Description:

Description: The Operational Reporting Analyst assists the specified department with business and/or operational real time reporting support, analyzes and develops reports to support the business needs for various clinical, billing, and operational areas. This position supports all reporting and reporting processes by applying advance knowledge of ambulatory and registration workflows. The Operational Reporting Analyst applies advance knowledge of how data is stored in Epic to create reports that can be used real time to provide real time data. This position is also responsible for oversight in closing gaps, improving opportunities, and implementation of strategies to address operational reporting barriers.
Typical Duties:
  1. Defines report requirements, designs, develops, tests, installs, implements report processes to identify the reporting data source per request type (e.g. Epic Workbench, Epic Clarity, Epic Data Warehouse, etc.).
  2. Provides support for the real time reporting requests to include analyzing requests for support and enhancements requiring system changes, validating model system reports, and recommends solutions.
  3. Assists with the development of projects, training, and testing plans; participates in integrated testing.
  4. Collaborates with providers, administration, and report consumers to identify real time reporting needs.
  5. Oversees the identification and resolution of reporting related issues, and facilitates appropriate escalation of issues for timely resolution.
  6. Provides oversight in closing gaps, improving opportunities, and implementation of strategies to address operational reporting barriers.
  7. Monitors and manages reporting related project tasks and reports progress, as needed, to appropriate staff.
  8. Performs other related job duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

    Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Healthcare, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • 2 plus years of experience in real time reporting and report writing experience (Epic Reporting Workbench or other EMR).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • OR, in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, the following:
  • 6 plus years of real time reporting and report writing experience (Epic Reporting Workbench or other EMR).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

  • Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
  • Epic Reporting Workbench Proficient or will be within 12 months of date of hire.

  • Preferred Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
  • Epic Ambulatory Proficient or Certification
