Operational Performance Analyst, Core Technology Infrastructure
Job Description:
The Operational Performance Analyst will deliver accurate and comprehensive data, reporting, and communication to drive fact-based decisions across strategic programs, governance reporting, and Estate Management. The role serves to provide actionable insights to inform and ensure the Stability, Resiliency, Supportability, Performance & Capacity, and Recoverability of CSWE systems for our customers and clients. You will serve as a trusted advisor to business and technology partners across the organizations under the purview of CSWE TI. You will be responsible for supporting transparency to the $1B of application hosting infrastructure by providing analytics, engaging in communications with Senior Leaders, Application Owners, Service Delivery Managers and Engineers, showcasing various facets that impact hosting infrastructure - cost, volume, currency, and risk. The function also involves partnering in transformation strategies, identifying optimization opportunities, driving governance and risk management by overseeing key metrics and service levels, demand planning, y-o-y volume reduction and infrastructure hygiene.
Responsibilities:
- Compilation and analysis of infrastructure volume plan/projections and costs to provide senior leadership actionable insight related to currency, risk, and value
- Understand and articulate the broad connection of infrastructure attributes to various risk factors, business expectations, and customer experience
- Improve the quality of reference data in System of Record and reconcile/interpret data across multiple systems to drive out key metrics, govern Enterprise views, measurements, trends, and discrepancies, etc.
- Work with Production Support Executives, SDMs, Chief Engineers and CIO partners to drive out volume reduction commitments (as portfolios transform to new technologies) and manage progress/risks/issues monthly.
- Work with key partners to analyze cost savings potential for business impacting initiatives and projects.
Required Skills:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics
- Organized, result-driven and able to work on multiple tasks with limited supervision
- Intellectually curious with a desire to understand the details and an ability to assemble a holistic, compelling view
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills, ability to communicate, resolve issues and work across organizations. Able to create and present executive level reports
- Knowledge of bank's financial concepts, such as TCOA, direct expense, hard/soft saves
- Experience in GT&O application hosting volume forecasting and knowledge of TCOA financial processe
- Advanced analytical skills and data mining tool experience capable of translating analytics into fact-based stories and potential opportunities - dive into details as well as summarize findings to senior leadership
- Background or knowledge of infrastructure products, service delivery and lifecycle management
- Ability to identify and drive opportunities to support process excellence - simplify, automate, and improve
- Comfort with ambiguity; flexible and able to navigate a changing organization and changing landscape of tools
- Strong Excel/PowerPoint knowledge, particularly advanced Excel functions (pivots, vlookup, etc.)
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of Excel Macro/VB functionality (e.g. creation of Dashboards
- Knowledge of tools such as ComIT (Essbase), Apptio, Tableau Reportin
- Knowledge of data and financial modeling
- Sharepoint site creation and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure including emerging trends
