Job Description The Global Technology (GT) Finance Data Management & Reporting myDATA Team leads initiatives across GT Finance & Business Management (GT F&BM) with a focus on automating manual processes and creating visual dashboards using Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, and Business Objects, Cognos, and PowerBI. Sitting in the center, this team interfaces with internal clients to source ideas around enhanced automation and dashboard opportunities, run functional and technical feasibility analyses, translate ideas into use cases, and partner with Technology to deliver tangible solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the requirements gathering, development, testing, and maintenance of process automation solutions primarily using tools like Tableau, Alteryx, Business Object, and SQL. Experience using additional BI tools, such as Cognos and PowerBI, is a plus.
  • Work closely with business users to capture and translate business requirements into technical requirements.
  • Manage projects by tracking and monitoring progress, risks, and issues; be able to report on status and recommend corrective actions to ensure successful project completion.
  • Create executive-level readouts and status updates to be provided to clients and senior management.
  • Partner with peers on the team to provide planning and implementation support.
  • Support various ad-hoc activities.


Skills/Competencies:

  • Advanced systems skills required including in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and SQL query writing
  • Must have expert-level, demonstrated knowledge of Excel including but not limited to Pivot, Vlookup, etc.
  • Must have demonstrated knowledge of one or more data & business intelligence concepts including ETL, Data Modeling, Reporting Automation, and/or Dashboarding.
  • Must be exceptional with visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau (Data Visualization), Alteryx (Data Wrangling), Business Objects, Cognos, PowerBI, Xceptor (Data Wrangling & Straight Through Processing)
  • Experience with JIRA and Agile processes is preferred
  • Experience working in an environment that requires attention to detail with adherence to strict rules and standards
  • Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner that tells the story behind financials in a compelling way
  • Confident and personable attitude with the ability to face off with senior management at all levels, influence/handle difficult messages, problem solve, and resolve conflicts
  • Detail oriented individual capable of completing reporting and analytics accurately, on a timely basis, and in a presentable manner
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Capacity and desire to work both at a strategic and detailed analysis level
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must
  • Individual must be able to work independently as well as in a team situation
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi task and handle competing priorities under pressure
  • Self-motivated individual to go beyond immediate responsibilities
  • Exceptional organizational, teamwork and communication (oral and written) skills across all levels of management
  • Must possess professional maturity, intellectual curiosity, high integrity
  • Ability to pivot quickly to meet changing prioritization and deadlines


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, with a focus on BIS, MIS, computer science, or another quantitative field.
  • Delivery oriented, conscientious and reliable; strong written and verbal communication a must.
  • Ability to wear multiple hats and quickly pivot between roles and responsibilities.
  • Demonstrates an eagerness to learn and tackle difficult challenges.
  • Excellent multi-tasking, prioritization, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and the SDLC.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with data modeling, data management, and visualization concepts in a business environment required, with:
    • 2+ year with visualization tools. Tableau, Business Objects, Cognos, and PowerBI a plus
    • 2+ year with data wrangling tools. Alteryx a plus.
    • 1+ year with database tools and SQL. Oracle a plus.
  • Working knowledge of web development technologies and JavaScript / React a plus.
