Seeking a Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Analyst to work in a fast paced environment with simulation-driven assessments and products. SAIC has been a leader supporting the Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD) community for more than 30+ years. Beginning with President Reagan's vision of the Strategic Defense Initiative for ballistic missile defense and the OSD/USAF Air Defense Initiative. SAIC's M&S tools span the spectrum from very high fidelity engineering tools performing component assessments to force-on-force level simulations examining architecture level performance. We have many years of providing great service to the MDA, JIAMDO, OSD, COCOM, STRATCOM, and DARPA. An integral team that is defining and testing the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). SAIC seeks a Modeling and Simulation Analyst/Engineer to develop and analyze scenarios that tie in all domains of warfare under a Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) for key mission areas. This job is a Full Time hybrid role and will work 4 days at the office in Arlington, VA with 1 day remote / virtual.

Responsibilities:

  • Improve existing tools and algorithms, functional modeling, signature reduction assessments, radar system capability analysis, Electronic Warfare analysis, and detailed analysis of aerospace electronic subsystems.
  • Identify ongoing and future technology trends relevant to the field of adversarial examples.
  • Develop mathematical models to test new concepts in simulation environments.
  • Assess radar systems concepts, specifications, capabilities, and missile defense integration.
  • Conceptualize engineering models of radars and radar-like systems. Characterize those engineering models through descriptive, parametric, and simulation terminology.
  • Performance analysis, technology recommendations, advanced sensor concepts, emerging architecture evaluation, and systems engineering.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in RF/Radar sensors, EOIR systems, missiles/interceptors, threats, discrimination, detection/tracking or Command and Control (C3I, C4I).
  • Must have a working knowledge of the weapons, platforms, and non-radar electronic systems that are associated with systems in the missile defense community.
  • Professional experience with analytic methods and tools in applied mathematics, data modeling, or probability and statistics.
  • Ability to use a high level programming language to enhance analysis capabilities. A programming background with MATLAB, Mathematica or Fortran is a plus.
  • Experience with Agile development and Atlassian products.
  • Bachelor's in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or other relevant technical field. Advanced degree or continuing education; math, engineering, or physics background very desirable.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance is required.


Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
