The Digital Manufacturing team at Pratt and Whitney is looking for a highly motivated, Systems Analyst who will be excited in delivering digital solutions within our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) & MOM enterprise platform as it relates to supporting our manufacturing sites and engine centers worldwide.

Specific focus includes process planning and manufacturing execution, as well as integration to Pratt and Whitney's SAP ERP. Current strategic activities include supporting the strategic roadmap for MES, archiving and data retention solutions, new site implementations, and integrating with new technologies for IIOT and Industry 4.0.

10% domestic/international travel may be required.

Due to customer locations in different time zones, customer meetings can occur outside normal business work hours.

Location: Remote

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bridging gaps between business processes and MES (Solumina) functionality.
  • Translating customer requirements into a solution design.
  • Technical and functional problem solving.
  • Project Management with strong follow up discipline.
  • Meeting all budget, quality and schedule targets.
  • Production and end user support for our applications .
  • Supporting integration with Pratt & Whitney's SAP ERP solution.
  • Working with internal customers and external suppliers, business partners, to architect and build system solutions for using the latest technologies to satisfy requirements.
  • Managing suppliers and partners to schedule and status resources required for solution development and implementation.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously with regular reporting in a gated process.
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Author system functional requirements, technical design documentation and test plans.
  • Work with business teams to plan and implement projects
  • Technical skills in the areas of understanding/interpreting JAVA programming language.
  • Technical skills in the area of SQL products (Oracle).
  • Ensuring compliance with UTC / PW policies & procedures.



Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor in related field with 5+ years of experience or advanced degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • US citizenship required due to government contract.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3+ years' experience with MES disciplines including, but not limited to, process planning and execution
  • Knowledge of other manufacturing solutions is a plus, but not required
  • Prior experience in software development (ABAP, JAVA, .NET, SQL, etc) is a plus, although development is not a primary responsibility
  • Team player with strong follow up skills and ability to craft positive relationships
  • Detail oriented, analytical and able to trace problems
  • Strong communication skills
  • Relishes orchestrating and organizing initiatives and processes
  • Excellent judgment and professional business maturity
  • Strong working knowledge Microsoft Office
  • Self-starter with the ability to spot potential for process improvement
