Our Opportunity:

Chewy is hiring a Program Manager – Product Content on the Merchandising Systems and Services team (MSS). The Merchandising Systems and Services Team (MSS) team is responsible for creating the systems, services and the process infrastructure for all Chewy businesses. Our team’s mission is to be the backbone for Chewy’s Business/Category teams, helping win long-term customer trust, business growth and profitability. We own the Pricing, Catalog/Content and Vendor Systems & Services that have automation, product, program and operational components. Chewy is looking for a technically adept, problem solving leader who will have the opportunity to build/improve/automate our product content. Your focus will be on defining and implementing systems and process frameworks that improve catalog health. You will wear multiple hats, always be focused on solving complex problems, starting up programs and tooling up for the future. You will partner with leadership in a high-paced and heavily cross-functional environment.

What You'll Do:

  • End to End ownership of the program from Intake, setting & communicating strategy, prioritizing deliverables/milestones, building consensus, and coordinating communications.
  • Organize, plan, and execute project objectives including communicating to stakeholders tasks, action items, and the availability of deliverables
  • Identify, document, and coordinate deliverables across cross-departmental gaps
  • Identify and escalate project blockers, risks, and issues to the Manager, Content Production and suggests potential solutions, in addition to a weekly report on program status
  • Work directly with team members to coordinate operational tasks as needed
  • Develop relationships with stakeholders and facilitate a collaborative program working environment
  • Create process maps, documentation, and workflows as needed to support process implementation
  • Functionally-
    • Develop programs/tools that identify and address content gaps
    • Build and enhance automation to manage the input systems and processes that help Merchandising deliver a best-in-class experience for our pet parents and vendor partners
    • Partner in building systems/processes to manage a complex network of Vendor partners and Catalogs
    • Synthesize complex data into usable/actionable information
    • Lead from the front and not be afraid of rolling-up your sleeves regularly

 

 

What You'll Need:

  • BA in Computer Science or other engineering fields, Economics/Finance or Master’s degree (preferably in General Management/Finance/Computer Science/Tech Management/Engineering)
  • Minimum 5 years experience in an ecommerce or retail environment in a Merchandising or Marketing capacity
  • Strong data-focused & technical tool kit with the ability to build and enhance automation
  • Background in creating, managing to and improving metrics (KPI) using quantitative analysis
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft suite of office products
  • High proficiency in SQL and Tableau
  • Functional experience with Adobe Creative products
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills to convey key insights from complex analysis in summarized business terms and an ability to effectively communicate with technical teams
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and a driving passion to change, challenge, and improve current processes
  • Position may require occasional travel
