As a Marketplace Operations Sr. Business Analyst, you will support general operations and health of the business by providing impactful insights to deliver business results. You will analyze and influence business decisions through tradeoffs with x-functional partners to run the business profitably. You will inspire change in the organization by making analytics part of day-to-day business strategy to ensure better quality decisions while keeping the marketplace clean. You will lead the sustainable performance management cycle to drive decision making to increase revenue and margin. You are responsible for providing relevant and accurate data, highlighting risks and opportunities, for internal and external partners.

Key Accountabilities:
  • E2E planning and influencing results; connecting analytics and the business (e.g. synchronize and optimize shipping plans vs. Order Book and Financial expectations, Full price inventory optimization and decision making, collaborating with finance and planning partners, etc.)
  • Create BI and analytical tools to monitor the health of the business through success metrics and measures to drive accountability
  • Drive impactful insights for the business, including identifying continuous process improvement opportunities, collaborating with external account teams and partnering with other business units to change the way we work
  • Proficiency in developing metrics / KPIs, analytical visualizations, and data tools for performance management, and to aid in management of the business
  • Communicating results, insights, and state of the business through executive level communication (verbal and written)
  • Work with cross functional teams to develop methods to track, trace, and communicate seasonal delivery performance (e.g., outbound shipping, operational risks, etc.); recommend mitigation strategies
  • Work across account, channel, marketplace, planning, finance and merchandising teams to find opportunities to define operational strategy.
  • Lead and participate in "business analyst" network across the Org to gain insight and drive standard methodologies; be a mentor to team / analyst community

In this role, you will be a key asset within the MPO organization for decision making in partnership with the Marketplace Operations leadership team. You will prepare data findings and insights and recommend clear actions on a continuous basis in support of the MPO account, channel, and seasonal leadership. You will inform and build executive communication in collaboration with leadership to influence decision-making. Build, maintain, and elevate decision-making models that will enable the MPO team to make better operational, tactical, and strategic decisions with regards to consumer value and profitability.

  • Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education, experience, and training
  • Operate at a high level in ambiguous situations, while identifying problems and providing solutions
  • Ability to navigate cross-functional relationships and influence with a strategic and analytical approach
  • Proven capability of solving complex business problems though data, analysis and insights
  • Ability to look at problems from a high level and offer recommended solutions across the value chain (cause and effect)
  • Proven external and executive leadership level communication (verbal and written)
  • End-to-end supply chain knowledge is a plus
  • Advanced KPI development, automation, and management to drive accountability with metrics
  • 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Performance Management, Supply Chain Operations, S&OP, Finance, Retail or related experience preferred
  • Proficiency required / expertise a plus in some or all of: SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency a plus in advanced analytical tools like R and Python
  • Consulting skill set is not required, but a strong plus
