Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a Marketing Data Associate to drive reporting needs and projects. This role needs a detail oriented, analytical, strategic and creative thinker who is driven by data, is goal-oriented, and has a passion for working in a fast-paced environment. This candidate will be analyzing data and providing guidance to the product marketing team with actionable insights to help optimize existing and new product launches.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to help determine measurable KPI metrics, build custom reports, and collaborate with different teams. The right candidate will be excited about meeting aggressive goals, and staying on top of a quickly evolving e-commerce landscape.
What You’ll Do:
- Run ongoing and ad hoc analyses and reports to support the marketing team
- Give insight into performance trends, working closely with teams to analyze the impact of product launches, optimizations and promotions
- Provide actionable recommendations and conclusions from data to shape product launch strategy and improvements
- Build and maintain automated KPI reporting dashboards that stakeholders in the marketing team will use on a daily basis
- Help develop frameworks, models, tools, and processes to ensure data influences decisions at all levels within the product life-cycle
- Collaborate with data engineering and analytics team members to build upon existing data infrastructure and create efficiencies in reporting methods
- Present data and findings to cross functional team members
What You’ll Need to Have:
Required:
- 2+ years of hands on experience working on an analytics driven role within an organization
- Proven track record of turning raw data into meaningful analysis, presenting to business stakeholders, and driving value for the business
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and relational databases including data extraction and manipulation
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Strong proficiency with Tableau or similar business intelligence/data visualization tools
- Experience with marketing business concepts and performance indicators
- Team-player, hard-working, organized, and goal-oriented
- Ability to multi-task and schedule work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical with strong quantitative skills
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience with Google Analytics, Shopify, Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, and other media or data platforms
- Excitement for start-ups and building from the ground up
