The Market Intelligence Senior Manager/Manager is responsible for generating the competitive intelligence that informs strategic decisions for the Software, Digital and Connectivity part of the business. This role will also be responsible for conducting research, gathering and analyzing data that helps drive and influence business unit strategy and product development portfolio and get to develop best practices regarding how to analyze and solve problems in a highly matrixed environment.

This position is part of the Software Digital Connectivity Business Unit and is located in Sunnyvale, CA or USA remote. At Cepheid, our mission is Delivering a Better Way to improve patient outcomes by enabling access to molecular diagnostic testing everywhere.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Plan, executive and analyze quantitative and qualitative market research studies utilizing a range of approaches to best support Cepheid's business strategy.
• Facilitate and moderate cross-functional brainstorming/data synthesis sessions (workshops/kaizens) to produce insights that address key business issues and opportunities.
• Derive market insights and customer/competitor intelligence to inform all levels of management and business units about market trends, business opportunities, and threats in the Software digital connectivity space with an eye towards digital solutions.
• Transform research findings into actionable insights and deliver recommendations to drive strategic decision making for organic/inorganic opportunities.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of different research methodologies and data analysis techniques.
  
  The essential requirements of the job include:
• Bachelor's + 8 /Master's Degree +6 years of experience in Marketing, Market Research, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, social sciences, business administration, communications, or a related field. MBA preferred.
• Five (5) or more years consulting experience, product management, or in similar strategy/analytics roles at life science/pharma/diagnostic company preferred.
• Experience completing market research projects (ex. qualitative interviews and quantitative surveys).
• Data analytics experience required. (ex. Excel, VBA, SQL, PowerBI).
• Proven project management skills required, along with the ability to influence and lead teams and prioritize heavy workload to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment directly or indirectly.
• Must be able to travel occasional for conferences.
  
  It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
• Familiarity with DBS Tools.
