We’re looking for a Competitive Intelligence Analyst to partner with sales, marketing, product, and engineering to inform product differentiation and market positioning. Reporting to the Lead for Sales Engineering, you will research the digital experience intelligence landscape from a competitive perspective, and create compelling insights that will support FullStory’s sales, marketing, and branding efforts.

This role lives in the Sales Engineering department, so it’s a great fit for sales engineers or post-sales consultants that have a deep curiosity of front-end web development and mobile technology.

Day-to-day, you’ll:

  • Become a subject matter expert on the FullStory platform and help refine our key differentiators in the market.
  • Lead FullStory’s competitive intelligence program from a technical perspective. Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of competitors and market trends, and deliver objective, meaningful insights in concise and compelling briefs. 
  • Partner with Sales Engineers to provide strategic support on sales deals in competitive situations with customers.
  • Support the product marketing team to deliver their scalable self-serve competitive assets (internal and external facing) and live training sessions. 
  • Organize, synthesize, and analyze market intelligence information inside our internal competitive intelligence platform.
  • Partner with the FullStory Product Management team to provide feedback on current and future product strategy and engineering efforts.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has 4+ years of experience in sales engineering, product management, market intelligence, and/or consulting roles in the tech industry
  • Has experience with modern web technologies and/or mobile frameworks
  • Has experience solving complex technical problems 
  • Has experience learning, understanding, and communicating complex technical concepts

It would be amazing if:

  • You have knowledge of marketing/analytics platforms or similar industry/platforms
  • You have experience working as part of a competitive intelligence team to solve problems in varied, fast-paced environments
  • You are resourceful, researching unconventional sources to understand technical concepts at a deep level
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit. You are curious and persistent, always willing to follow a lead or investigate information to fill in the blanks and solve the mystery
