Meet the role:
The Market Development Analyst is responsible in supporting the Market Analyst team and greater Acute & Payer division by using internal and external data sources to improve the level of insight the team has into the A&P market. The Market Analyst finds unique and strategic ways to build tools that report Hospital, LTPAC, ACO, and Health Plan data/insights to the team for maximized pipeline generation, consultative and data-driven client conversations, and an accelerated sales cycle.

What you'll be doing day to day:

  • Work with large data sets to build insightful reports and tools for the team
  • Take a lead in performing periodic data updates for reports and tools used by A&P
  • Determine key tradeshow data points
  • Interpret data sets to create and deliver custom, insightful presentations for the Sales team that tie back to the value propositions of the product suite
  • Play a large role in combining market saturation/customer data for future acquisitions
  • Create new datasets to build out market intelligence

  • Examples of projects:
  • Provide the Customer Success team with a list of accounts that meet the criteria for a particular upsell/product suite;
  • Pull data points across various A&P function to assist with the team’s individual goals (i.e., working with the Marketing and SDR teams to create a data report to be presented to clients at a national level);
  • Create a plan to update the back-end clinical and financial data sets in Excel, followed by an update to the Power BI report used by functions across A&P to gain market insights.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

  • Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills are required
  • Must be goal-oriented, positive, a self-starter, with strong financial and analytical skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Well versed with data visualization tool – Microsoft Power BI
  • Seasoned experience in Market Research and Market Data and Analysis
  • Experience in Healthcare (Hospital/LTPAC), an asset
