Overview
Coordinate the implementation of divisional policy and procedures associated with margin management in the Products and Pricing Group within PCG. Responsibilities include coordination and confirmation of daily margin changes in support of short or long term initiatives, research of pricing issues and execution analysis, and analysis of competitive information from the sales and capital markets teams. Leverage market and book level analysis to coordinate margin decisions with the goal of maximizing revenue in light of divisional strategy. Work with sales team to implement strategic initiatives resulting from anomalies in trending reports with expectation of driving increased volume or margin at the client, product or attribute level. The position is a key consumer of various market share reports to evaluate margin decisions after implementation and will partner with several external clients (market data vendors, pricing engines, P&P, etc.) in ensuring consistency of process and accuracy of reporting which maximizes revenue opportunities for the division.
Job Description

  • Coordinate margin change requests on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Serve as a key contributor on reporting routines to accurately track the impact of margin changes to revenue
  • Improve and expand book level reporting suite to best communicate revenue performance of dynamic strategies to senior management
  • Complete analysis of volume and margin trending at client, program and attribute level to identify impact to pricing strategy
  • Work directly with sales to obtain market color and complete execution analysis to maximize client opportunity share
  • Create ad hoc and custom reports for the sales team, identifying areas of opportunity to improve margin or expand share
  • Research escalated margin questions or requests and provide world class customer service
  • Develop competitive intelligence research and reporting
  • Evaluate reporting on PCG Market Share and trends and contribute next level analysis to identify impact to divisional revenue
  • Implement strategic initiatives impacting the pricing of products or attributes at the book level
  • Draft, coordinate and post client facing communications
  • Complete special projects to support revenue growth on ad hoc basis
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • Must exhibit strong attention to detail and ability to communicate research to management in a compressed timeframe
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a complex and changing work environment
  • Should be able to see the "big picture" and evaluate decisions based on the best interests of the overall business
  • Very strong oral and written communication skills required
  • Experience working on projects or processes related to management of margin or revenue goals
  • Must possess ability to contribute as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong business acumen to efficiently reach goals when working independently
  • Must be highly proficient in MS Suite, with experience in modeling, pivot tables and SQL, preferred
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, and mathematical skills, and sound judgment
  • Financial Services and mortgage industry experience preferred
  • Strong business acumen and ability to interface effectively with senior management
