Job Overview:

The Manager of Sales Analytics and Planning works within the sales performance group of the marketing team and is responsible for managing the analytical insights and implementing the sales strategy to support the delivery of our same-store sales targets at Tim Hortons US.  The person will succeed in the role by having strong analytical ability to provide insights into the sales strategy and the ability to translate strategy to execution. The position manages an Analyst/Sr Analyst on analytics and reports to the Director, Sales Performance.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage an Analyst/Sr. Analyst of marketing analytics to generate sales insights for the business (e.g., sales decompositions, incrementality measurement, deseasonalized sales)
  • Summarize past sales performance and forecast future performance for monthly Close & Preview meetings with RBI leadership
  • Oversee analyst in generating routine reporting on sales and analytical insights to support sales strategy, and present regularly to THUS leadership
  • Set the daily and monthly sales plan with input from Head of Sales
  • Translate the marketing sales strategy for peer marketing teams by drafting marketing briefs and setting visual marketing plans
  • Manage and update the approved product menu and recommended product pricing
  • Support the Director, Head of Sales with analytical insights and strategic thinking to inform product launches/LTOs, marketing calendar, discount/value promotions, allocation of marketing funds, and other tactics to drive sales
  • Work collaboratively with peer teams that own marketing communications, brand research, and product innovation to deliver on the marketing plans

 

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years’ related experience in QSR, CPG, Retail, or related field
  • Deep analytical ability and interest (and related ability to powerfully use Excel)
  • Strong organizational and work management skills
  • Interest in managing and developing talented analysts
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and presentation skills (and related ability to use Powerpoint)
  • Bachelor’s degree
