WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for a proven manager to help drive organizational reporting, analytics and metrics for our Global Architecture and Platform as a Service (GAP) Business Operations & Enablement (BOE) team. Data is what drives strategic decision making and organizational maturity. This role is responsible for understanding metadata and it sources, creating baselines for metrics, providing analytical insight and crafting a data warehouse and visualizations for executives and team leaders. This team is accountable the single source of the truth for organizational information.

This leader will need proven experience with leading a team, strategic planning, understanding of the technology organizations, data warehousing standard methodologies, problem solving, financial competence, planning, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Additionally, being detail orientation, decisiveness, and the ability to partner are a must.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
If this is you, you'll be working with the GAP leadership team to provide operational insight required to operate and mature the GAP organization, a growing globally distributed team. The BOE's primary charge is to make it easy for our GAP leadership and team to run our business. Everything you do will be in the spirit of simplification and accuracy of process and information to ensure data-driven decisions can be made proactively. We strive to minimize fire fighting. You'll Lead cross-functional projects using sophisticated data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities. In addition, you will lead a team that builds, develops and maintains data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics that support key business decisions. Key partner engagement and management will be a large part of how you work cross functionally. As a manager you will recruit, train, develop, supervise, mentor, and retain analyst-level teammates.

A typical week consists of engaging with collaborators to define product roadmaps, creating and automating data connections from source systems, collaboration with GAP leadership for financial and resource management; cross-functional collaboration with other Global Tech teams to ensure alignment, streamlining operations, clear roles and responsibilities and collective partnerships. You'll troubleshoot, be challenged to think differently and evolve processes for the betterment of the organization.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
In this role, you'll work with teammates at all levels of the organization. You'll have a team of 3 direct reports focused on operational, financial, cloud, and people operations and organizational risk. You'll work with your peers to deliver operational excellence and collaborate across the board to improve and detail accountabilities and responsibilities in our cross-functional operating model. And, you'll collaborate with peers across the Global Technology landscape, the immediate GAP leadership and their direct reports, our geography GAP leaders, Technical Product Management, Digital Transformation Program Office, Human Resources, Finance, Talent & Acquistion and Global Operations Team partners.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Must haves:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
  • 5+ years of directly relevant work experience
  • 3+ years of team management and leadership experience
  • Solid understanding of data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources.
  • Experience working with and creating databases and dashboards using all relevant data to inform decisions.
  • Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities.
  • Strong ability to plan and manage numerous processes, people and projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced programming skills and querying languages: MySQL, Python
  • Advanced skills with data visualization tools: Tableau at a minimum
  • Experience with collaboration & project management tools: Smartsheets, Confluence, Jira, Github, Aha!, #slack
  • Experience with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience with AWS
