Job Description

Primary Purpose:
Manager of Data and Analytics is a hands-on senior business intelligence analyst that is responsible for engineering data solutions, tools and systems that increase asset utilization, operational productivity, and system performance. Including the retrieval, cleansing, development, and analysis of data across various operational systems. Working with source systems in the design, development and implementation of new data sources, data modeling, operational performance measurements and metrics as directed by Network Planning and Optimization and Executive management.
• Includes short-term objectives and long-term strategies to support data-driven, operational decision making by senior leadership and individual contributors. • Primarily a Monday through Friday work environment but does Include a rotational on call and day to day management of Network Planning and Optimization BPS system processes, reports, servers, and projects.• Includes working closely with other business and IT teams across the company to solve complex data problems, uncover new opportunities and deliver tools for leadership to make data-driven decisions.• This team operates in a hybrid work environment within the Atlanta headquarters office. This includes both required in-office days and flexible remote days.

Principal Duties:• Develops, maintains, and manages database for data collections, manipulation, and report generation. • Strategize & Prioritize tasks including product development, QA, Documentation, Stakeholder training, and Implementation. • Leads projects and studies related to core performance measures, metrics, and process improvements. • Works with IT to ensure the accuracy of granular level data and high-level measurements through to the data warehouse and corporate reporting tools. • Develops, prepares, and submits reports that reflect the current and/or health of the operating network and service levels. • Delivers data visibility to upper management and stakeholders in easily consumable formats, such as dashboards and automated reports.• Is skilled at presenting data, reports, and dashboards in a non-technical, easy-to-understand manner to stakeholders.• Lead and train others on new processes or other business opportunities• Attend and train others on new software or applications to assist in creating efficiencies in our work• Employee development, coaching, and training• Serves as subject matter expert for core operational information and measurements. • Product owner for the core report delivery tools.

Technical Skills:
• Advanced knowledge of SQL is required.• Experience in Data Mining, Cleansing, Modeling, Visualization.• Experience with Python/R or other related scripting technologies • Experience developing within Spotfire, Alteryx, Tableau or other related analytic products• Database knowledge / experience within Teradata, MS Access, SQL Server, IBM DB2, Cockroach, Cassandra, TDV or other related data stores.• Development and maintenance of various automation processes.• Data Validation and Testing (regression, functional, etc)• Familiar with database management and optimization(Primary Keys, Joins, etc).• Experience with industry specific tools desired, but not required:• Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) • NSRS (NS Internal)• ITMS (NS Internal) • TYES (NS Internal) • UTCS (NS Internal) • OPD (NS Internal) or related simulation software

Education
Preferred Level: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Logistics, Business Management, Statistics, Analytics, or other relevant fields

Job Related Experience
Minimum Level: 1-3 years
Preferred Level: 4-6 years
