Manager Data Analysis Business Optimization
The Manager of Business Optimization will help lead the team responsible for CCI's efforts to develop and scale an analytically driven business performance evaluation framework that is robust, statistically sound, financially rigorous, and generally accepted throughout CCI. In this role you will manage the testing, analysis, and reporting function across multiple mission critical functional areas of the business such as Marketing and Pricing, with potential to scale to other functional areas of the business. This role will be critical in the design and continuous evolution of an analysis and reporting framework to help the organization deliver on the vision of unified, agile, and scalable measurement and optimization methodology. This role is a unique opportunity to help develop & deliver on the vision for a critical analytical capability from the ground up, driving significant and swift impact across the organization, and meaningfully influencing the future of our learning and continuous improvement culture at Cox.
What You'll Do

  • Lead on all aspects of measurement across a variety of structured tests, from test design through robust peer review to the development and delivery of insights & optimization recommendations
  • Partner with broad range of stakeholders on highly complex projects
  • Partner closely with boundary partners in Consumer Analytics, Marketing, Communications, Operations and other teams to establish the necessary process and data infrastructure/requirements to support reporting & analytic needs across key functional areas
  • Support Sr. Manager of Data Analysis in efforts to stand up in-house test & learn capability, including design, process documentation, deliverables templates, stakeholder mapping, etc.
  • Support Sr. Manager in the development of measurement learning agendas and testing strategies to ensure the delivery of statistically sound & high-impact program performance analyses and associated future test and optimization opportunities
  • Partners closely with Finance and Consumer Analytics to estimate the potential value of project efforts, then leverage analysis to validate estimated value to Cox at project completion
  • Oversee and deliver executive-ready performance results & insights to cross-functional teams and senior leadership along with recommendations for improvement and optimization to future tactics and strategy
  • Deliver on measurement roadmap to automate data ingestion, streamline analytics, and launch automated reporting dashboards to support agile, data-driven, and intelligent decision making across the organization
  • Responsible for partnering with our Segmentation team to advance our analysis to provide enhanced customer segmentation performance insights into optimal journeys across strategic segments/sub-segments

Who You Are
Minimum

  • BA/BS degree and 6 years of related experience (e.g., data analysis, financial analysis, experimental design & reporting, predictive analytics, marketing or communications analysis, etc.), OR MS degree and 4 years of related experience, OR Ph.D and 1 year of related experience OR High school diploma/GED and 10 years of related experience
  • Working knowledge of basic statistical analysis and optimization methods (regression, etc.)
  • Familiarity with standard experimental design and testing concepts (A/B, multivariate)
  • Comfortable working with and influencing highly analytical resources across multiple stakeholder groups to deliver on multiple complex projects
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver analytically driven, clear and actionable recommendations to executive level and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong internal client and relationship management emphasis. Ability to manage upward and outward, proactively communicating key progress updates and potential roadblocks with peers and leaders across functions
  • Creative thinker offering innovative and out-of-the-box solutions to complex and ambiguous problems
  • Willingness to get into the weeds with analysts and boundary partners on data, analysis, visualization, and storytelling, and strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, with ability to adapt the story to different audiences
  • Self-motivated, with high expectations for quality of work for yourself and your team
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to adapt to the situation, be flexible, resourceful, and nimble in terms of work planning, and the ability to think quickly on your feet
  • Deadline driven with demonstrated ability to work with a sense of urgency


Preferred

  • Hands on experience with BI tools (MicroStrategy, Tableau, ThoughtSpot, etc.) is strongly preferred
  • Hands on analysis experience with a language such as SQL, R, etc.
  • Hands on experience with cloud based platforms such as Snowflake or AWS
  • Familiarity with Adobe Suite (Campaign, Analytics, Target) is a plus
  • Familiarity with financial modeling and business case processes- designing for success, assumptions, drivers, approval process and updates- and ability to work with partners at all levels (Analysts-VP and above) in Business Operations/Finance
