The Manager for Competitive Intelligence will operate as a member of the SAIC Defense and Civilian Sector (DCS) Competitive Intelligence team and be responsible for conducting competitive analysis on a full range of SAIC pursuits with a heavy focus on Federal Civilian and Health customers and competitor environments.

This individual will have responsibility for generating competitive insights focused on the Civilian and Health market, and will support the Defense customers as needed with trends, competitor activity, and other market intelligence that will inform SAIC's competitive positioning. This individual will lead a wide range of research and analysis, leveraging open-source research and federal data, as well as SAIC's proprietary databases, to produce insights that are broadly applicable to SAIC's continued growth in digital products, solutions, and services that drive digital transformation and IT modernization across the federal government.

CI practitioners collaborate closely with capture leadership and becomes a critical thinker, competitor expert and customer SME as a trusted member of the capture team. He/she will synthesize research and data into presentations for senior executives and capture leaders in customer-facing Business Units. This person will have a strong ability to serve as a facilitator promoting a data-first and strategy-first culture of planning and analysis for near-term and long-term pursuit planning.

Qualifications

  • Requires Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and fifteen (15) years or more of related experience; Masters and thirteen (13) years or more experience.
  • 9+ years' related experience in Government contracting environment focused on Civilian and Health market areas with a particular focus on competitive intelligence and market research.
  • Strong knowledge of US Government competitors (traditional systems integrators and non-traditional competitors such as cloud service providers), market positioning and investment areas, key capabilities and differentiators, program portfolio, bid tendencies, contract vehicle usage, capture strategies, ability to leverage their partnership ecosystem, and more.
  • Industry experience in developing competitive strategies related to Enterprise IT services and IT modernization; software and application development; data analytics; systems integration and modernization of hardware systems and sub-systems; cyber-security, as they are broadly applicable to the US Government.
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information, identify trends in data, and link to implications for SAIC's markets and business outlook.
  • A passion for research, modeling, and detailed data analysis - understanding the "so what!" as well as a genuine interest in digital technologies and digital transformation.
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly and provide recommendations and influence to senior audiences. Demonstrated excellent written and presentations skills required. High proficiency with MS PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain up to Top Secret clearance. U.S. Citizenship required.
