As the Manager of BI & Analytics you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the data integration and business intelligence solutions utilized to support the business analytical and reporting needs. Work with the business operational teams to understand the data sources and implement new requirements. Oversee the development and management of data used by healthcare professionals at our Company. Ensure that pertinent data is collected, compiled and analyzed accurately.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management and manipulation of mostly structured data, with a focus on building business intelligence tools, conducting analysis, performing normalization operations and assuring data quality
  • Create specifications to bring data into a common structure, creating product specifications and models, developing data solutions to support analyses, performing analysis, interpreting results, developing actionable insights and presenting recommendations for use across the company
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop tools and models such as segmentation, dashboards, data visualizations, decision aids and business case analysis to support the organization
  • Develop actionable reports for internal clients using various reporting and query tools, in particular MS-SQL, Snowflake and Qlikview/QlikSense
  • Develop and maintain systems that allow for ease of data retrieval and manipulation from a variety of sources including claims payment, utilization management, health plan risk pools, subcontractor capitation, internal charges, subcontractor risk pools, health plan capitation, Medicare risk adjustment and others
  • Work closely with all levels of end users, including executive level staff, to quickly develop reports which will be used to make strategic business decisions and support the overall scope of the company's business strategies
  • Create detailed documentation outlining report criteria and provide recommendations to the requestor based on the results of the report
  • Ownership of a large-scale, ongoing project and/or area that may contain multiple reports, analysis, and representations

RequiredQualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Health Informatics or related field
  • 5+ years of experience reporting, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data to various stakeholders
  • 5+ years of experience in business intelligence within the healthcare industry
  • 2 years of departmental management experience or related experience
  • Knowledge of SQL, Qlikview and QlikSense
  • 3+ years using BI best practices, methodologies, relational structures, dimensional data modelling, OLAP technologies, data warehouse and reporting techniques
  • Strong design, analytical and problem-solving skills and abilities
  • Ability to manage workflow and meet deadlines while responding to frequent demands of stakeholders.
  • Ability to take ownership of each project from start to finish and follow-up with management on project status
  • Live in Southern California with the ability to drive to client locations as required for client meetings
