Overview
The Learning & Development Analyst II is responsible for developing and maintaining an evaluation strategy and methodology that measures the impact of learning and development solutions for PennyMac's Loan Servicing Division. This analyst will gather, summarize and interpret data, communicate trends and opportunities, and make recommendations for improvement and innovation. Key functions include performing post training evaluation and analysis, maintaining reporting databases, and collecting and analyzing data.
Job Description

  • Collect, generate and analyze data to evaluate learning effectiveness, including business impact, behavior change, knowledge transfer and reaction; identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Create and conduct performance-based measurement assessments for objective evaluation of instructional programs; Produce and report on applicable metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Provide analytical support to the Servicing Operations Training team, including preparing monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc reports to communicate key findings to leadership teams / key stakeholders
  • Review and evaluate existing training programs to measure effectiveness and recommend program additions, changes, or deletions based on the data collected through evaluations. Conduct needs assessments for new programs to ensure alignment with training objectives.
  • Create data collection tools, including assessments, surveys/questionnaires and interviews.
  • Perform post training evaluation and analysis; Develop graphs and charts to provide insight into key learning data points
  • Maintain reporting databases for key learning metrics
  • Monitor data to identify changes in business trends; Identify new opportunities to enhance analysis to improve our overall training experience
  • Conduct database audits on reporting tools and Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Support development of new reporting requests: Pull reports from the LMS for leadership and stakeholders, as needed
  • Partner with leadership to influence decisions about program additions and revisions.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree Training & Development, related field of study, or equivalent work experience
  • Highly proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Google Suite
  • Experience in applying evaluation models and methods (Kirkpatrick's, Return on Investment, Return on Expectations, etc.)
  • Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
  • Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively manage competing priorities
  • Must possess superior analytical skills
  • Learning & Development and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment
