Lead Systems Analyst
The Lead Systems Analyst oversees the installation, configuration and maintenance of the organization's operating systems. This job approves information systems designs and ensures they are appropriate for users' needs and are consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. This job manages large projects and is recognized as the Systems expert on the team that solves complex issues that arise.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Approves of system scope through existing knowledge and fact-finding that informs the development or modification of complex information systems. groups, aiming to improve business results.
  • Oversees changes to existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.
  • Approves flow charts, models, and procedures and feasibility studies to design possible system solutions.
  • Approves technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.
  • Evaluates all system constraints, implications and consequences of various proposed system changes.
  • Creates procedures to solve complex problems that considers items such as computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
  • Estimates the costs of system solutions and prepares project plans to provide input into decisions about prioritizing projects and allocating IT resources.
  • Coaches and delegates work to lower level professionals.

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

The Lead Analyst work as liaisons among stakeholders in order to understand the structure, policies and operations of an organization and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Accurate translation of business needs into requirements that are understood by all stakeholders
  • Achieve consensus across stakeholders by driving clarity around needs, findings, gaps and mitigation measures
  • Define, validate and deliver solutions that meet business needs/goals/objectives/budget
  • Establish excellent communications across stakeholder domains
  • Elicit and document business requirements, risks and priorities to establish a clear understanding of the stakeholders' environment in support of solution development
  • Document environmental knowledge and leverage existing knowledge repositories
  • Ensure the traceability of individual requirements and adherence to the defined requirements management process
  • Research other internal / external approaches to solution design for similar business needs / requirements
  • Analyze/interpret business requirements and perform current/target/gap/impact analyses
  • Articulate business needs, gaps, impact across all areas and proposals to close

  • Validate that the proposed/designed solution(s) and associated testing approach will support meeting the articulated business requirements
  • Prepare documents such as expected benefits, gap analysis, use cases, models, current and proposes process, workflows, data flows, implementation plans and end user guides in accordance with standards and methodologies
  • Manage issues, scope and impact Identify/escalate and/or manage conflicts, issues and changes in order to achieve consensus on scope changes and achieve signoff by all stakeholders
  • Investigate, evaluate and support prioritization of client requests for new or existing solutions
  • Define business criteria for prioritization, and other key decisions (e.g., product evaluation or build vs. buy decisions)
  • Challenge assumptions made by either the business and IT
  • Driving clarity around needs, findings, gaps and mitigation measures



Required Skills:

  • 5 or more years IT experience.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodology.
  • Deep experience with SAFe/Agile practices and creating/refining epics, features, and stories in JIRA.



Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Siebel CRM
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Tableau, and Gherkin skills
  • Knowledge of TIAA organizations and our Siebel consumers



Potential Salary: $142,100.00 USD

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
