ABOUT THE ROLE


Side is looking for a qualified Lead Business Analyst. The candidate should have a demonstrated background as both a systems analyst and a manager of a team of system analysts. Areas of expertise should include technical intricacies within business systems such as CRMs, ERPs, Integration Platforms, etc. The candidate will lead the expansion of the systems analyst function within the Management Information Systems department. An ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise on establishing an operating model for how a team should function including template development and process improvements relating to the development life cycle. Activities include; hiring and recruiting, producing, and managing individual and team deliverables relative to the system for on-going projects. The role requires accurate and timely delivery of deliverables with a focus on defining requirements, functional specifications, test cases and test results, release documentation, and adherence to software delivery lifecycle standards. The role will work closely with our brokerage operations, finance, sales, marketing, and support teams. The role will report to the Senior Director of Management Information Systems.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.
  • Able to assemble, analyze, and validate data using SQL query expertise and provide results to business or engineering teams.
  • Develops and documents system specifications that are aligned to, and based on, business requirements.
  • Works with developers, system architects and product managers to document the details of automated systems and processes - including business process flow and system process flow documentation. 
  • Provides details to developers regarding what should be included in the software, application, or product to ensure it is included for roll-out/implementation.
  • Ensuring what is built works as expected including: developing system test cases and assisting with User Acceptance TestingProvides production support for solutions that are in production for a feature and functionality perspective. 
  • Embodying the core values of ownership, integrity, customer-centricity and care with everything you do in the role.

WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU A STRONG FIT FOR THE ROLE?

  • 3-5+ years managing a team of Systems Analysts within a business systems department. 
  • 10+ years delivering clearly communicated and articulated artifacts, such as detailed specifications (e.g., project requirements, requested changes, and testing results).
  • 10+ years documenting current-state and future-state business process flows. implementation; 
  • 10+ years leading or assisting ideation sessions such as whiteboard sessions or design workshops. 
  • 10+ years writing advanced SQL statements is a must. Knowledge of Salesforce queries is preferred. 
  • 5+ years of exposure working with data integration use cases between business or operation systems. 
  • 10+ years as an expert user on PowerPoint, Vizio or other presentation and business process mapping tooling. 
  • Self-motivated individual that collaborates well with other technical and non-technical stakeholders to accomplish project objectives
