Job Description:

DomaniRx is a newly formed organization focused on shaping the future of Pharmacy Benefit Management by delivering a cloud-native, API-driven claims adjudication platform.

Our team is made up of engineers with varying levels of professional experience and backgrounds, from new graduates to 20-year veterans of the healthcare industry. We are looking for creative engineers and technologists: relevant industry experience is important, but less so than your demonstrated abilities, passion and attitude. We're always improving and looking for individuals that enjoy being challenged and have a strong desire to make the engineering experience better for our users.

As a PostgreSQL Database Administrator, you will be a key leader on our team that helps us evolve our database technologies and solutions.

This position is full-time, and location is flexible.

Responsibilities:

• Configure, monitor, and improve PostgreSQL databases.
• Assist development teams with database design.
• Troubleshoot database performance and data issues.
• Design and implement database security best practices.
• Implement industry-wide best practices around database administration.
• Design and implement database backup and disaster recovery procedures.
• Design and implement database maintenance procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 10+ years of relational database administration experience.
• Engineering degree, related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL functionality and features.
• Experience troubleshooting database and SQL performance issues.
• Experience working collaboratively with application development teams to implement solutions.
• Experience working in a high-volume transaction environment and with very large database objects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience administering PostgreSQL databases in a private cloud environment.
• Experience automating database schema updates via CI/CD pipeline.
