Job Summary

To explain planned solutions, he/she provides applicable technical knowledge, to the developers, to ensure efficient design, development, implementation, and support of systems and interfaces
Responsible for overall customer satisfaction, customer communications, problem resolution consultation or oversight, and development and adherence to service level agreements.
Responsible for IT representation on assigned business areas steering teams, quality improvement teams, and continuous improvement teams, project implementation teams and working groups.
May also participate in the testing and evaluation of new IT solutions. They participate in project implementations for their assigned business groups acting as test coordinators, project subject matter experts, requirements analyst, or project leads.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a customer advocate, representing needs and directions of the business unit to IT organization.
• Participates in the evaluation of new applications and the identification of system requirements for planning purposes. Also captures requirements for enhancements to existing systems.
• As needed, works with vendors and various IT personnel for escalated troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Identifies opportunities to improve and enhance current processes - both IT and Business
• Documents processes, procedures and workflows associated with applications.
• Participates in RFI and RFP as it relates to technology
• Advocates for IT Modernization,

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or Computer Science
• In addition to required degree, eight (8) years related work experience
• In lieu of Bachelor's degree(s) AND eight (8) year related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND 12 year(s) related work experience

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
• In addition to desired degree, 12 years related work experience
• Project Management Professional
• 3 or more years of experience participating in delivering IT projects.
• Experience with creation of a SPAR, TFF, TPRM, OBT
• Experience in interactions with other IT teams: Cybersecurity, Telecom, IT Architects, IT Ops, Sourcing, etc. )
• Experience in interactions with managed services providers: Accenture, IBM
• Experience in tracking financial information related to projects/work efforts

Working Conditions

• Hybrid - Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period. However, hybrid employees should live within a reasonable commute to the designated Duke Energy facility.
