Lead Data Scientist
As a Data Scientist, you will work to bring data, business intelligence, analytics, and machine learning capabilities to both the Product and Engineering departments. We are looking for a creative problem solver who will actively engage with stakeholders to translate long term goals into short term product iterations. We are looking for someone who has experience in understanding complex business needs and helping build craft innovative solutions. As a Data Scientist, you will analyze large amounts of raw information to find patterns that will help improve our products and develop new capabilities. We will rely on you to build data products to extract valuable business insights.We are looking for a highly analytical individual with a knack for analysis, math, and statistics. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for interpreting data. We also want to see a passion for machine-learning and research.You Will Have The Opportunity To:
- Understand data collection, pre-processing, and analysis
- Build models to address business problems
- Present information using data visualization techniques
- Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
- Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms
- Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges
- Collaborate closely with our Engineering and Product departments to develop analytics solutions
- Turn complex and ambiguous situations into actionable plans
- Operate in a fast-moving environment with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements
- Collaborate effectively with other Engineering Leads and other senior Engineering, Product and Design leaders
We Are Looking For You If You Have:
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or Machine Learning Engineer
- Experience in data mining and data modeling
- An understanding of machine-learning and operations research
- Knowledge of Python and SQL; familiarity with Node JS is an asset
- Experience using business intelligence tools and data frameworks
- An analytical mind and business acumen
- Strong math skills (e.g. statistics, algebra)
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field (a graduate degree in Data Science or other quantitative field is preferred)
