Junior Policy Analyst
Seeking a Junior Policy Analyst to join our team supporting the Program Management Office (PMO), CISA Exercises within the Department of Homeland Security Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA)
Candidates must be local to the National Capital Region.
Hybrid work environment with telework and some in person scheduling
Duties of the position:
- Provideanalysis and customer-facing support for exercise programs
- Follow established procedures for routing tasks/requests/concerns
- Serve as a conduit between CISA Exercises PMO and the Cyber and Physical security branches
- Conduct research and provide responses from program data and open sources
- Contribute to deliverables and performance metrics
- Develop, draft, and edit reports, briefs, and other documents in support of PMO requirements
- Responsible for preparing and analyzing metrics
- Provide insight and recommendations on process improvements for metrics and reporting
- Organize and collect data entered into SharePoint calendar and data repository
- Retrieve and analyze data from data repository or electronic files as needed/requested
Candidate must have:
- Expertise with Microsoft Office 365 tools; particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong written communications ability
- Customer service orientation, focus, and ability to multitask.
- Ability to respond to urgent and sensitive requests for information in a timely manner
- Attention to detail
- Strong and demonstratable teamwork abilities
- Flexible, self-motivated, and able to adapt to changing circumstances
- A basic understanding of the Cybersecurity field
Desirable qualifications:
- Knowledge of and experience as a SharePoint site owner
- Experience with metrics for analysis and reporting
Educational qualifications:
BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 1+ years of experience of professional experience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BA/BS or equivalent, 2+ years of experience
