About you:

As a Junior Data Scientist you will contribute to the development and the deployment of machine learning models that will drive business decisions and improve user experience. You will utilize problem-solving skills, programming know-how, and business analytics to solve real-world problems at scale. You will access and analyze a variety of data to perform descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics, and you will communicate findings to different stakeholders.
In addition to building solutions, you must possess the aptitude and hunger to learn.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proficient in Python and SQL
  • Data analysis and data visualization skills (pandas, numpy, matplotlib, scikit learn, etc.) 
  • Experience in building and iterating on predictive models (time series, classification, clustering...)
  • Strong statistical foundation
  • An investigative journalist-type approach when it comes to getting answers to a problem
  • Comfort with cross-team collaboration and communicating technical ideas to a non-technical audience
  • Strong quantitative background (having either been a graduate of a data science bootcamp, or the holder of an undergraduate or graduate degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, physics, econometrics, or another related quantitative field)
  • One year of Data Science related experience

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience with time series modeling
  • Experience building pipelines and dashboards
  • Experience in model deployment and model monitoring (drift / performance)
  • Experience with best practices such as version control tools (git), proper documentation, library packaging, versioning, testing
