Integrative Emergency Services, LLC (“IES”) is seeking a Jr. Business Intelligence Analyst. This position will work as part of the clinical informatics team and will assist with data collection, analysis, preprocessing, data visualization, and definition for a suite of reporting across clinical quality, innovation, research, operations, and revenue cycle. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Others may be assigned.

  • Assist in primary SQL query writing, ETL processes, data mapping, and data cleaning.
  • Collect data from established sources for aggregation into existing SQL views.
  • Assist with current load, refresh, run, and send processes for monthly reporting.
  • Assist in maintaining existing business intelligence reporting processes.
  • Troubleshoot and build Tableau data visualization dashboards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to accurately collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet short deadlines
  • Strong teamwork capability
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently

Education / Experience: Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job.

Required:

  • 1+ years experience working with data and databases
  • Proficiency in SQL query design, scripting, and execution (Preferred MSSQL)
  • Strong acumen for best practices in data query writing including structure, commenting/annotation, change control and documentation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Preferred:

  • Experience working in healthcare or with electronic health record (EHR) data
  • Previous experience working with emergency department groups or operations
  • Certifications in:
    • SQL
    • Tableau
    • EHR (i.e. Epic Clarity-Caboodle-Cogito Data Model)
  • Experience with:
    • Python (Pandas), Plotly, Jupyter
    • Git
    • Business Intelligence Software (Power BI, Qlik, etc.)
    • Database infrastructure and ETL including VPN, SFTP, SSIS, views/landing tables/temporary tables

  • Possess the ability to fulfill any office activities normally expected in an office setting, to include, but not limited to: remaining seated for periods of time to perform computer based work, participating in filing activity, lifting and carrying office supplies (paper reams, mail, etc.)
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20-25 pounds
  • Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding)
