Job Summary:
- This role will be working closely with multiple business functions e.g. Plant Operations, Safety, and Environmental to understand their business needs and translate their challenges into technical solutions. This will include, but is not limited to:
- Design & development of both short-term and long-term solutions
- Build and optimize web/mobile applications for evolving business needs
- Maintain communication with team members
- Code and script applications
- Perform ongoing maintenance
- Ability to support commercial off the shelf applications (working with vendors)
- Automation of reporting when applicable
- Ad-hoc data requests
- Design & development of both short-term and long-term solutions
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with management, departments, and users to identify requirements and specifications
- Producing code based on requirements
- Testing and deploying programs and applications
- Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining, and improving existing software
- Should be proactive in identifyingissues and challenges
- Compiling and assessing user feedback to improve software performance
- Developing technical documentation to guide future software development projects
- Support Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) platforms
- Engagement with vendors to drive development priorities for enhancements and resolve production support items
Working Conditions:
- Hybrid home office and open office environment.
- Some overtime is required as special projects arise.
Minimum Requirements:
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data sets, pulling and aggregating disparate data from systems for analysis
- creating reports and dashboards
- Experience with working in creating tables, views, functions
- Skilled in Advanced Excel, power query, pivot table
- Experience with Data warehouse & Business Intelligence
- Knowledge of Power BI
- Knowledge of ColdFusion
