Position Specific Description

NextEra/Gexa Energy is looking for an experienced IT Business Systems Analyst/Business Process Analyst who can be a liaison between our IT and Business teams.

Desired Skill Set:

• Provide modeling of the business processes; understand the business need and impacts of proposed solutions
• Experience working on projects with app or website development
• Retail Energy experience such as CIS/Billing, EDI, Customer Care, Sales, and C&I/Mass Market products
• Conduct requirements gathering workshops, create business requirement documents and follow the approval process
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on cross functional teams and projects across the organization
• Identify and communicate requirement /scope changes, and initiate change requests where necessary
• Collaborate with project managers, stake holders and IT leads to ensure deliverables are tied to business requirements
• Collaborate with business and IT to create process maps and work with onshore and offshore teams.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Develops a strong familiarity with business processes that are in their area of business focus
• Establishes and manages effective customer relationships with users of business, financial and operations systems, as well as technical team members
• Applies analytical skills within functional area to decompose work into manageable value-based units
• Responds to requests, identifies conflicts, and makes recommendations where needed
• Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems
• Uses knowledge of business processes to identify interdependencies and functional gaps
• Builds strong working understanding of the technical solution being delivered and analyzes and determines failure points in the solution
• Contributes to the application testing process (directly or to support end users)
• Creates and updates documentation, as appropriate, for selected project framework
• Maintains a familiarity with market trends in technology
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
