The Business Systems Analyst II FSB analyzes business and information needs in order to design optimal systems solutions. Working under minimal supervision, this job designs system solutions that are appropriate for business needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. This job also recommends improvements to the existing IT systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Identifies and analyzes business needs, conducts requirement gathering, and defines scope and objectives of each project.
  • Makes recommendations for solutions or improvements to business processes that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.
  • Translates business requirements into application requirements, and works with all members of the team to execute the application successfully.
  • Engages client teams and explains moderately complex initiatives in an understandable manner, while also addressing any hesitations or concerns from the client.
  • Estimates the costs of various system solutions and prepares project plans to provide input into decisions about prioritizing projects and allocating IT resources.
  • Prepares and maintains technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.
  • Coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals.

Educational Requirements

Currently, TIAA Bank has an opportunity for a Business Systems Analyst. This role will analyze business and information needs in order to design optimal systems solutions. This role will design system solutions that are appropriate for business needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. This job also recommends improvements to the existing IT systems and processes.

This role will have responsibility for the review, analysis and evaluation of IT business risk and controls within the bank. In addition, they will conduct technology risk assessments; review IT policies and procedures and general Governance, Risk and Compliance reporting and training. This position will work under minimal supervision and will be located in our Jacksonville, FL office.

Additional Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide reporting and governance support for creation or updates to IT Audit and Governance programs, processes, procedures, or alignment to standards.
  • Enthusiastic and positive ability to promote governing with excellence among team members and business associates.
  • Promote the practice of best practices and acceptable standards across the team in alignment to defined governance processes and procedures.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with technology associates and other stakeholders to provide governance guidance services.
  • Assist in gathering date for internal audit or other regulatory requests.
  • Track, analyze and monitor data and present statistics for various reporting requirements.
  • Evaluate key IT internal controls and make recommendations for any remedial actions.
  • Communicate areas of risk to management for review and follow up. ,


Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience performing IT risk assessments, audits and/or compliance experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience with information security risk, governance, and control frameworks
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience with SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, and PowerPoint

Preferred:

  • Detailed working knowledge of IT and information security and risk management best practices
  • Ability to communicate information security concepts across a broad range of technical and non-technical audiences
  • Possess professional certification: CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)
  • Experience working in financial services


Potential Salary: $77,300.00 USD

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
