Job Description

As a Supply Chain IT Business Analyst you will be working on a state of the art ERP application environment. We have one global ERP instance with over 150 applications installed. In our supply chain IT capacity we are a critical part of enabling the technology solutions the following priorities: 

  • Embedded SaaS capabilities in our new products 

  • Saas & PaaS capabilities in our systems 

  • A/I and M/L capabilities in our systems

  • The challenges of our continuous focus on improvements that drive our revenue, cost, cash, and customer performance metrics 

  • Planned migrations to the Cloud for our Oracle and related ERP Applications. 

The person in this position will be driving one or more of our roadmap project efforts to advance the capabilities of our supply chain business with the technologies that align with the business goals. The individual will work with the appropriate internal teams and integration partners (if applicable) to build and deploy these projects.

The desired candidate must have a proven track record of experience in the deployment of major process and system transformation projects. In addition the candidate should have a working knowledge of the following: 

  • Oracle / Oracle Cloud Supply Chain Modules

  • Emerging technologies including “fit for purpose” cloud-based applications,

  • Three or more supply chain business functions with particular focus on demand planning, supply planning, sourcing, purchasing, order management, manufacturing, distribution, and repair operations. 

The candidate must be a self-motivated team player who has the ability to work and communicate with senior leadership as well as the project team level resources. We expect that the person in this position will proactively identify impactful solutions for the future or find improvements to the existing systems. The individual will have focused interaction with the supply chain leadership team and the respective staff members of those leaders. In addition, there will be significant interactions with our external business partners. These partners would include suppliers, 3PL service providers, contract manufacturers, and outsourced repair service providers. 

Scope of Responsibilities / Expectations

  • Work with the appropriate business partners in the supply chain functional areas to understand their requirements, develop creative solutions, and manage the development, testing and implementation activities

  • Collaborate effectively with both business and IT partners to meet commitments. Work through issues and challenges to complete tasks on time and on budget.

  • Determine the objectives of an assignment, and exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to achieve measurable business outcomes.

  • Use your business acumen, technical skills, and knowledge of Oracle and other applications to estimate effort, engage IT partners, and lead solution delivery. 

  • Translate rapidly transforming business needs into functional requirements, including proposing alternative solutions or options for implementation. Work with the various IT development teams or IT external partners to manage software demonstrations and proof of concepts (POC) to aid quick business decision making.

  • Evaluate business processes, uncover areas for improvement, and identify creative ways for process enhancements.

  • Provide subject matter expertise and collaborate with various IT support teams for resolution of critical production issues.

  • Detail oriented, with the ability to trace problems at the root, whether the cause is data or system related. Implement rapid resolutions and manage customer expectations, including broad communications. 

  • Provide proactive technology leadership in the identification, investigation, analysis, business case, and application of new technologies, platforms, and applications to support supply chain business objectives, 

  • Work in partnership with our IT architecture team, the IT compute team, and the IT Infrastructure team in these efforts. 

  • Provide strong leadership in the assigned projects and show the ability to step quickly into a leadership role.

  • Create and deliver audience appropriate presentations and documentation for business and IT teams.

Desired Skills/Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6-8 years professional work experience and experience matching the following:

    • In the implementation and/or support of Oracle ERP Supply Chain Modules

    • Possess supply chain IT and business experience, preferably in a high tech company and discrete manufacturing environment

    • Hands-on experience with full IT lifecycle projects including both waterfall and agile methodologies.

    • Strong analytical skills to analyze and interpret business needs and translate them into application and functional requirements.

    • Ability to develop innovative solutions and drive implementation from functional specification through to deployment

    • Functional and technical knowledge of Oracle EBS Supply Chain functions. PL/SQL and Oracle API is a plus.

    • ​Desirable - experience with a supplier collaboration platform such as e2open, Ariba, or one network


Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field

  • 5+ years of professional experience
