As an Automation Business Analyst at Micron, you will be responsible for providing analysis, design, requirements gathering, and process mapping, to identify and qualify business processes that are opportunities for automation. While working closely with business teams your team's automation developers you will drive innovation in how Micron's core business practices are carried out. These innovations will save time, improve quality, reduce risk, increase revenue realization, and improve working conditions of our human talent! You will support small and large automation efforts and help select the best automation technology that meets the business objectives. You will participate in understanding and bring to bear new technologies that will best support our automation efforts.
Here you will be part of a dynamic Automation, and RPA team within the IT Department working closely between the development team and Business & Technical Partners to identify, design and develop automation solutions for the on-prem and cloud solutions supporting Micron's business applications.
Responsibilities

  • Serves as a liaison between the business community and IT teams in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs. Possesses expertise in the business unit(s) that IT supports as well as the IT organization's systems and capabilities.
  • Develop a keen understanding of automation technological trends and use the knowledge to participate in technical and business analysis session to influence business decisions.
  • Work to select the automation technology which is the best choice for a given use case. These technologies will include the RPA technology, UiPath, but may include other programming technologies, artificial intelligence, and machine learning capabilities, as well as other new technologies
  • Analyze process automation requirements and craft robotic process automation solutions, architecture, and logic. Work with the business to define process improvement opportunities for maximum impact of the delivered solutions
  • Build, maintain, and refine documentation according to area standards and standard operating procedures that helps with the Software (SDLC) and Application Lifecycles (ALM)
  • Collaborate with business domain experts, IT Security teams, application support teams, and automation developers to provide timely high quality automated solutions
  • Works alongside the process SME to define the testing scenarios for UAT
  • Work with development team removing impediments to their development work and be a phenomenal partner with business and functional teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, IT related field of studies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Visio)
  • 2-4 Years of UiPath experience or similar RPA tool as a business analyst preferred

Critical Skills / Knowledge

  • Experience with business/system analysis and requirements documentation
  • Experience/knowledge of business process re-engineering
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate non-technical details to a technical audience
  • Experience planning and facilitating UAT
  • Able to rapidly learn and become proficient in UiPath
  • Able to accept responsibility and complete work on a timely basis
  • Able to perform in various areas of a project at various levels of responsibility, and under changing conditions
  • An ability to operate in a fast paced, agile environment
  • Focuses on solutions and efficiency; is a self-starter and gets assignments done
  • Able to handle sophisticated technical problems on a project or support work effort
  • Understands and applies methodologies, industry standards, and techniques related to software development and automation
  • Experience in writing code in C#, VB, .Net, Python, SQL, or other relevant automation programming languages
