Overview

Formulates and defines system, scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business/clinical system and industry requirements. With this knowledge, develops or modifies moderately complex information systems. Include analysis of business, clinical and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary. Competent to work in some phases of systems analysis and considers business/clinical implications of the application of technology to the current business environment. Responsible for feasibility studies, consideration of budget constraints, some priority decisions, resolution of development issues, system impact analysis and developing technical knowledge of system parameters, tables, profiles, and data.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum one year experience in related field, required.
  • Additional Skills (required): Competent to work on fairly complex systems analysis assignments and multiple phases of a project. Possess general understanding of the function for which the software is designed. Ability to work under deadlines and heavy workloads. Knowledge of the hardware and/or software is extremely valuable though not necessarily required. Ability to work with all levels of healthcare personnel from top management to entry level clerks throughout the organization. Ability to take action on a suggested approach within guidelines of standards and procedures.
